This oil is very precious and rarely found natural oil that is extracted from the various species of Agarwood trees such as Aquilaria malaccensis, Aquilaria crassna or Aquilaria agallocha. Agarwood has light or pale color when the trees are healthy but after infected by disease, it results to a dark and aromatic resin which is called oleoresin. The agarwood essential oil is extracted from the rich dark resin through the water distillation process. The resin is like a wine, the older the resin it is highly prized.
